 Specialties

I am trained in the somatic and experiential modalities below and offer a hybrid, depending on what's fitting for each individual. I value collaboration, transparency, and a sense of curiosity as we find the best tailored approach.

Internal Family Systems

IFS views the person as made up of different "parts" or subpersonalities, each with its own role and history. We work to understand and accept all  parts of the self, especially parts that have been minimized or wounded.

Psychodynamic Perspective

A psychodynamic approach focuses on uncovering patterns rooted in early experiences and relationships. Through insight and the therapeutic relationship, it helps individuals understand prior defensive strategies and then practice new ways of being within the therapeutic relationship.

Sensorimotor Processing

Sensorimotor processing integrates bodily sensations with emotional experiences to address trauma stored in the body. We work to build  mindful awareness and a sense of safety in the body as the foundation of our work.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR stimulates both sides of the brain using eye movements or tapping to reprocess traumatic memories. It seems pretty wild and we don't understand 100% why it works, but it can reduce the emotional intensity of the memory and supports a more united sense of self.
